INSURANCE PROGRAM |
Each property owner is responsible for the connection line from the user's residence or establishment, to the water and sewer main at the street. Failures along those lines can be very costly. To help offset those costs, where no private insurance was available, the City added this charge in 1991 to assist property owners when the failures occurred. This insurance pays the balance remaining after the $1,000.00 deductible has been paid by the property owner to $25,000 maximum |
$10.00 |
CONSUMPTION |
This charge is based on the amount of water you use during the month. It includes the cost of drawing the water from the river, treating, pumping and delivering the water to your house. Your water consumption is measured in cubic metres. One cubic metre is equal to 1,000 litres or 220 gallons. |
$4.50 per m3 or $19.75 per 1,000 gallons |
TOTAL |
Computer Estimated vs. Actual Reading -At certain times, an estimate of your consumption may be made, which is based on your average consumption history. You can also call in your meter reading during the last week of the month. |
