Yellowknife has a vibrant film industry, with professionals working in every sector from camera crews to producers, art directors and post production specialists. Equipment is available to rent locally to accommodate projects of any size. If you are a visiting producer, you will find an array of services and equipment available.
At the City of Yellowknife, we are happy to work with local and visiting producers. The Department of Economic Development and Strategy is available to facilitate any questions you may have. All film productions that take place on municipal owned land for corporate or commercial use require a City of Yellowknife Filming Licence.
