Community Connect

Outside of our vibrant community lies a rich trail of public services on social media, where residents are known for their generosity, resourcefulness and hospitality. Many of us have shared or given to those in vulnerable positions or in times of need, because it's simply the right thing to do.

Whether you're looking for a place to stay, a friend or a used couch, here are some of the most popular community links to keep you in the loop.

First off, you have to follow your City of Yellowknife Facebook page for the latest news, programming and public interest stories.

  • Salvagers Unite is geared to helping people give away items or trade items. This is about recycling and sharing with the community before an item ends up in the landfill.

  • Yellowknife Current Events is a great place to see what's happening in your community and a way to get involved as well.
