Reliable Roads & Walkways

Most municipal infrastructure is built to withstand northern conditions; however, shifting permafrost and dramatic freeze-thaw cycles mean that ongoing maintenance is a reality of living in the North. Throughout the winter months, crews focus on plowing, sanding, and snow removal to keep transportation routes and public spaces accessible. In warmer months, operations shift to street sweeping for dust control and surface quality, along with both minor and major repairs to roads, sidewalks, and other municipal infrastructure to maintain safe and reliable transportation.
