Municipal Enforcement Division
The Municipal Enforcement Division (MED is responsible for the enforcement and administration of most City of Yellowknife by-laws. This is in addition to enforcement responsibilities under select territorial legislation, including the Motor Vehicle Safety Act, All Terrain Vehicles Act and the Dog Act.
Our dedicated and professional Municipal Enforcement Officers achieve this through public engagement, education and enforcement.

Please call (867) 920-2737 24/7 for any complaints, or questions outside of office hours.
Municipal Enforcement Officers do not investigate or enforce Criminal Code of Canada matters. Contact the Royal Canadian Mounted Police by calling (867) 669-1111 or dialling 911 in an emergency.
