The City of Yellowknife (the City) and the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce are excited to launch the annual Shop Local campaign from October 30 to November 26, 2023. $10,000 worth of prizes are up for grabs, which includes $5,000 from the Chamber’s Business Relief Fund and $5,000 from the City.

“This holiday season we are once again encouraging residents to support the Yellowknife business community by shopping local,” said Mayor Rebecca Alty. “This year has been tough, and for those who can, we encourage you to support our local businesses who are in need. By choosing to shop locally, you are choosing to support your friends, neighbors and community.”

To enter the draw, $50 or more must be a spent at a local Yellowknife business. Once the purchase is made, customers can scan the QR code located in each store to submit their entry. Each entry requires the customer’s basic contact information and a photo of their receipt. Alternatively, draw entries can be submitted online at www.shopyk.ca. Keep an eye on the City’s social media channels throughout the campaign for additional chances to win!
