The City of Yellowknife (the City) would like to notify the public that penalties will be reinstated for any unpaid taxes and utility charges as of January 31, 2024. Penalties will be applied at a rate of 1.8% on all overdue balances on the first day of each calendar month, until overdue amounts are paid in full.

Any overdue utility charges as of December 31, 2023 will be transferred to property owners’ tax accounts. If you are a new owner or a landlord, you should check all utility accounts associated with your property. If you do not have a username and password to access your account, please call (867) 920-5600.

Please note that if you have had your overdue utility charges transferred to your tax account, your pre-authorized tax payment plan will be cancelled without further notice.
