The City of Yellowknife is pleased to introduce new development incentives (tax abatements and grants) to support housing, land and revitalization initiatives. These incentives are available to the successful individuals, businesses and organizations who complete an application.

Tax abatement and grant applications are now open, and will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as funding for this multi-year program is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants can apply for only one abatement per development and multiple grants per development. Note that several grants in combination with one abatement can be used for the same development.

In addition to offering grants and tax abatements to eligible applicants, City in-kind initiatives will be introduced as part of these new incentives.
