Back to SearchThe City of Yellowknife (the City) is pleased to announce that the Solid Waste Facility will host an Amnesty Day on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
During Amnesty Day, residents can dispose of regular residential waste free of charge, as the $16.50 tipping fee will be waived. Note that tipping fees for special residential waste will still apply. Visit our website for more details on which items qualify as special waste.
Commercial vehicles are not included under the Residential Vehicle Charge and therefore will be charged commercial rates during Amnesty Day.
