The City of Yellowknife (the City) wishes to advise residents of signage and restriction changes on 44th Street (Summit Condos access road).
As of today, April 26, new signage has been installed on the Summit Condos access road near the parking area of École St. Patrick High School. The City has removed the previous no parking signage and replaced it with no stopping “Emergency Vehicle Access Route” signage. This is in an effort to maintain adequate access to Summit Condos and the surrounding area for emergency vehicles. Drivers are reminded that stopping in a designated no stopping zone is an offence in accordance with the Parking By-law No. 5053.
Municipal Enforcement Division (MED) Officers will continue regular patrols in the area, as part of the community school zone safety patrols. MED will be reminding drivers of the new signs and directing them to not stop in the area. Appropriate enforcement action may be taken if required.
If you have any questions or issues regarding parking, please call the Municipal Enforcement Division at (867) 920-5630.
