Lakeview Cemetery Maintenance: June 22-26

Learn about gravesite maintenance, item retrieval timelines, and important dates.

The City of Yellowknife will be conducting cemetery maintenance at Lakeview Cemetery from June 22 to 26, 2026.

In accordance with the Cemetery By-law, maintenance may include the removal of withered flowers, wreaths, and other deteriorated items from gravesites.

Removed items will be bagged and retained until July 17, 2026, to allow families an opportunity to retrieve them. Any unclaimed items will be disposed of after this date.

Note: Residents are reminded that any seating or memorial items placed at gravesites should remain within the boundaries of the plot to allow for routine maintenance activities.
