Good Friday and Easter Monday Holiday Hours 2026

This sculpture, created in 2009 by Yellowknife artist Francois Thibault depicts three drum dancers. It is located at the edge of Frame Lake in front of Yellowknife's City Hall.

In observance of the Good Friday statutory holiday on April 3, 2026, and Easter Monday on April 6, 2026, the City of Yellowknife facilities and services will operate as follows:

• Garbage Collection: Operating on regular schedule
• Trucked Water and Sewer Pumpout: Operating on regular schedule
• Fieldhouse: 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Multiplex: Operating on regular schedule
• Aquatic Centre: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lane Swim & 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Public Swim
• Yellowknife Community Arena: Operating on regular schedule
• Yellowknife Public Library: Closed
• Visitor Information Centre: Regular hours
• Municipal Enforcement Division Office: Closed
• MED Emergency Services: Regular hours
• YKTransit (including YKFlex): No transit service
