Information Requests to the City of Yellowknife are processed through the Office of the City Clerk. When responding to information requests, the City follows the spirit and intent of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (the Act) as a guideline for how to respond. The City is not required to follow this Act (municipalities do not yet fall under the Act), but uses it as a guide to ensure fairness and transparency in the process. Please also note that because the Act does not apply to the City, the sections of the Act relating to the Information and Privacy Commissioner do not apply.
