Preparations Underway for Aquatic Centre Opening

The City of Yellowknife (the City) is ramping up preparations for the opening of the Aquatic Centre. To this end, the Ruth Inch Memorial Pool (RIMP) will be closed to the public as of Monday, April 14, 2025, to enable staff training in the new facility. Please be advised that all aquatic programming will be temporarily paused as of April 14, until further notice.

The City of Yellowknife is issuing a reminder to residents to be vigilant regarding fraudulent phone calls soliciting donations. It has come to our attention that individuals may receive calls from someone claiming to represent the Canadian National Fire Association, requesting donations for firefighter aid on behalf of the City of Yellowknife.

The City of Yellowknife would like to inform residents about the upcoming installation of new stop signs at the intersection of Niven Drive, Ballantyne Court, and Hagel Drive.
Currently, this intersection operates as a 2-way stop, with vehicles traveling on Hagel Drive and Ballantyne Court required to stop before entering Niven Drive. The installation of new stop signs will convert this intersection to an all-way stop.
