Hagel and Niven All Way Stop

The City of Yellowknife would like to inform residents about the upcoming installation of new stop signs at the intersection of Niven Drive, Ballantyne Court, and Hagel Drive.

Currently, this intersection operates as a 2-way stop, with vehicles traveling on Hagel Drive and Ballantyne Court required to stop before entering Niven Drive. The installation of new stop signs will convert this intersection to an all-way stop.

Structure Fire at Sunridge Place Apartments

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, the City of Yellowknife Fire Division (YKFD) responded to a structure fire at Sunridge Place Apartments, located at 5603 51A Ave. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke coming from a first-floor apartment of the three-story complex.
