Civic Holiday March 31, 2023

On Monday, March 27, Yellowknife City Council declared a half-day civic holiday for Friday, March 31, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. in recognition of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation’s Spring Carnival.
In observance of the half-day civic holiday, City facilities will operate as follows:
- City Hall: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Solid Waste Facility: Closed
- Fieldhouse: Regular hours
- Multiplex: Regular hours
- Ruth Inch Memorial Pool: Regular hours
- Yellowknife Public Library: Regular hours

Structure Fire - Dettah Road

At approximately 10:00 p.m. on January 7, 2023, the City of Yellowknife Fire Division (YKFD) responded to a report of a house fire along the Dettah Road. YKFD extinguished the fire and were on the scene until approximately 1:00 a.m. No injuries were reported.
