The Municipal Enforcement Division is responsible for enforcement and administration of most City of Yellowknife by-laws. This is in addition to enforcement responsibilities under select territorial legislation, including the Motor Vehicle Act, All Terrain Vehicles Act and the Dog Act. Our dedicated and professional Municipal Enforcement Officers achieve this through interacting and engaging with the public, education and enforcement when necessary. Our main priority is always public safety.
Please contact us at (867) 920-5630, Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5:00 (8:00 - 4:30 during the summer) with any questions or come visit us at the lower level of City Hall. Please call (867) 920-2737 24/7 for any complaints, or questions outside of office hours. You can also submit a Click & Fix request from your computer or mobile device.
Municipal Enforcement Officers do not investigate or enforce Criminal Code of Canada matters. Please contact the Royal Canadian Mounted Police by calling (867) 669-1111 or dialing 911 in an emergency.
