Special Events
The City of Yellowknife requires that any event that is held on public property be approved by the City. Applications are required to be submitted and allows for the allocation of the appropriate resources.
The Special Event Application form can be found here. Please complete this form and submit to Municipal Enforcement at least 30 days prior to your event, either in person at City Hall or by email to: med@yellowknife.ca

Parades and Processions
Applications must be submitted for any type of parade or procession that occurs on City roads/streets. This ensures adequate planning and the allocation of Municipal Enforcement resources. Municipal Enforcement Officers will participate by leading and following the parade or procession to ensure the safety of participants.
The Application for Parade or Procession can be found here. Please complete the application and submit it to Municipal Enforcement at least seven days prior to the parade or procession. This timeframe does not apply to parades or processions that cannot be foreseen. You can submit it in person at City Hall or by email to: med@yellowknife.ca. Please also submit a route for the parade or procession, using the attached map.
